Oki Islands, Japan

A wedding day
shaped by island light.

Plan Your Shoot
Concept

Not only portraits.
A quiet record of your trip.

Rito Photo Wedding is for couples visiting Japan who want to remember more than a staged shoot. We plan the day around the islands: the ferry, the wind, the light, the time between locations, and the small expressions that happen along the way.

Our crew lives in Oki. We know which coast catches the evening light, when the wind is too strong, and how much time you really need between styling, travel, and photography.

Service

A local crew for
an island wedding day.

A photo wedding in Oki is affected by more than the camera. Ferries, wind, styling, light, rest time, and the distance between locations all matter. We help you shape the day so it feels calm and realistic.

01

Oki-based crew

Photography, styling support, video, and coordination are handled by people who live and work in the islands.

02

Location planning

We suggest coasts, forests, shrines, hills, and seasonal spots based on your travel schedule and the weather.

03

Makeup and styling

Standard and Premium plans include makeup and styling support through the shoot.

04

Photo and film

In addition to still photographs, we can discuss film, drone footage, and vertical social media clips.

Getting ready before moving into the island landscape.
Couple smiling during travel between locations
We keep time for travel, rest, and small changes in light.
Film

The pace of the day,
kept in motion.

Wind, light, the movement between places, and the quiet moments that do not fit into one frame. Film is available for couples who want the whole day to stay visible.

Location

Choose a place

Most shoots are planned around Dogo, the main island of Oki. Ama, Nishinoshima, and Chiburijima can also be discussed with a custom estimate because ferry time and local transport affect the schedule.

FAQ

Before planning your trip.

How do we get to Oki?

You can reach Oki by ferry from Sakaiminato or Shichirui, or by flights connecting through airports such as Osaka Itami or Izumo. Schedules change by season, so please confirm transport before finalizing your shoot date.

Do we need to stay overnight?

We recommend at least one night in Oki. Photography involves travel, getting ready, light, and weather decisions, so a same-day round trip can be too tight for most couples.

Can we contact you in English?

Yes. Please use the English inquiry form or email us at wedding@spot-lights.jp. Replies may take a little longer depending on the content, but English inquiries are welcome.

What happens in bad weather?

We prioritize safety and will discuss changing locations, adjusting timing, or keeping a backup day when needed. Coastal cliffs and grasslands can be affected by strong wind as well as rain.

When should we inquire?

Please contact us around 2 to 3 months before your preferred season. For peak travel seasons, earlier is better because accommodation and transport may fill quickly.

Can we bring our own outfit?

Yes. If you have a specific dress, suit, or kimono, bringing your own is recommended. A limited number of photo dresses may be discussed in advance.
